The Grand Lodge of Massachusetts, founded in 1733, is the oldest Grand Lodge in the Western Hemisphere and the third oldest in the world.

The 232 lodges of the 36,000 Freemasons in the Commonwealth are divided into 32 districts, each led by a District Deputy Grand Master.

As District Deputy Grand Master, Henry P. Burke (pictured right) serves as the Grand Master's personal representative to the lodges in the District.

The 21st Masonic District is comprised of the following lodges: King Hiram's (established 1795), Provincetown; Mount Horeb Lodge (1834), Dennis; Pilgrim Lodge (1859), Harwich; Adams Lodge (1865), Wellfleet; Saint Martin's Lodge (1872) and Nauset Light Lodge (1996), Chatham; and Universal Lodge (1917) Orleans
